Fuel Queues in Makassar Gradually Improving as Pertamina Adds Supply and Petrol Station Staff
Pertamina Patra Niaga understands the difficulties and public aspirations regarding fuel services at a number of petrol stations in Makassar. The company has expressed its apologies for the inconvenience experienced by the public over recent days. Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to take various recovery steps to ensure that the public’s fuel needs can be met and that services at petrol stations return to normal.
As part of its recovery efforts, Pertamina Patra Niaga Sulawesi Region has taken a number of measures to increase service capacity at petrol stations. These efforts include extending petrol station operating hours, strengthening and increasing fuel supplies, adding nozzles and operators at a number of stations, and adding Fuel Service Task Force Outlets. These various steps are being taken to speed up service while easing the congestion of queues occurring on the ground.
In its implementation, Pertamina Patra Niaga is also continuing to strengthen coordination with the Regional Government, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and all relevant stakeholders through a Joint Task Force. The Joint Task Force carries out direct monitoring and supervision in the field, including helping to manage and disperse queues at petrol stations and ensuring that fuel services run in an orderly and well-targeted manner. This synergy is an important part of accelerating recovery while maintaining the smooth distribution of fuel to the public.
In addition to handling matters on the ground, Pertamina Patra Niaga is also continuing to provide information to the public through the official social media account of Pertamina Patra Niaga Sulawesi Region, Instagram @pertaminasulawesi.
