Fuel Queues in Makassar Begin to Ease as Pertamina Adds Service Points
PERTAMINA Patra Niag has revealed that vehicle queues at several petrol stations (SPBU) in Makassar, South Sulawesi, are beginning to ease following the expansion of fuel services and distribution.
Through its Fuel Service Task Force, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi has deployed three modular petrol stations in the Center Point of Indonesia (CPI) area, near the 99 Domes Mosque in Makassar. This deployment is the result of a collaboration with the South Sulawesi Provincial Government to increase service points and help reduce vehicle concentration at existing petrol stations.
The Fuel Service Task Force at CPI serves Pertalite specifically for two-wheeled vehicles. For general two-wheeled vehicles, an odd-even system based on vehicle registration numbers is in effect. However, for online motorcycle taxi (OJOL) drivers, the odd-even system does not apply. Each vehicle is limited to a maximum refill of 3 litres, with payments accepted via EDC or cash.
In addition to the addition of modular stations, Pertamina Patra Niaga continues to strengthen services through the reconfiguration of petrol stations, the addition of nozzles and operators, and the 24-hour operation of 25 stations. Fuel distribution is also carried out daily to maintain supply availability and ensure smooth service to the public.
The Acting Area Manager for Communication, Relations, & CSR of Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sulawesi, Okky Aditya Wibowo, stated that the queue conditions at several Makassar petrol stations are showing improved progress.
“We observe that the queue conditions at several petrol stations in Makassar are becoming more manageable. We are increasing refilling points, operating 24-hour stations, adding nozzles and operators, and ensuring that fuel distribution continues uninterrupted,
