Fuel prices to remain stable

State oil and gas company Pertamina said fuel prices for industry in October would not be much changed compared to the prices this month.

The price for Premium gasoline will stay at Rp 1,450 per liter next month, while kerosene will increase to Rp 1,070 per liter from Rp 970 this month, the company said in a statement on Friday.

Automotive diesel will rise to Rp 1,000 per liter from Rp 955, while industrial diesel will be sold at Rp 975 per liter, up from Rp 930.

The price for fuel oil will increase to Rp 760 next month from Rp 710 now.

Pertamina changes its selling prices for fuel on the domestic market every month depending on the international price. Under the existing regulations, the selling prices are capped at 50 percent of the international prices.

Foreign oil and gas, mining and shipping companies have to buy fuel at international prices.
