Fuel Distribution in North Sumatra Improves, Pertamina Patra Niaga Ensures Secure Supply

Fuel distribution in the North Sumatra region is continuing to show increasingly normal conditions. Various measures to accelerate distribution carried out by Pertamina Patra Niaga together with the regional government, security forces, Hiswana Migas, and all stakeholders have succeeded in clearing queues at a number of petrol stations and ensuring the community’s energy needs are met. To ensure these conditions are proceeding according to plan, Independent Commissioner of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Prabu Revolusi, conducted a Management Walkthrough to Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut by directly inspecting the Command Centre as the fuel distribution monitoring hub and visiting several petrol stations in Medan City. Based on monitoring results via the CCTV system and direct field inspections, vehicle queue conditions have gradually returned to normal and services to the public are becoming more effective. Prabu appreciated the collaboration of all parties who have worked hard to accelerate the normalisation of fuel distribution. “The most important thing for us is that the public can once again obtain fuel easily and comfortably. Today’s monitoring results show that conditions on the ground are improving. Collaboration between all parties is key so that the distribution process can run optimally again,” he said. Prabu also urged the public to remain calm because fuel stocks in the North Sumatra region are safe and sufficient. “We invite the public to use fuel wisely according to their needs and not to make excessive purchases. We also urge the public to obtain information regarding stock conditions and distribution through Pertamina’s official communication channels, because there are a number of old video clips being republished without context, which could potentially cause panic,” he added. In maintaining the reliability of energy supply, Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Sumbagut continues to optimise various operational measures, including operating the Medan Group Integrated Terminal for 24 hours, adding tanker truck fleets through a spot charter scheme, strengthening Tanker Truck Crew personnel, and optimising supply from the Kisaran Fuel Terminal, Siantar Fuel Terminal, and Lhokseumawe Integrated Terminal. Currently, operations at the Medan Group Integrated Terminal are running normally, while fuel distribution to petrol stations in Medan City and surrounding areas is proceeding smoothly. Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that fuel stocks in North Sumatra are in a safe condition and will continue to conduct intensive monitoring to ensure the community’s energy needs are met.
