Fuel oil consumption in East Java, Bali, and Nusa Tenggara (Jatimbalinus) is projected to increase 11.9% during Ramadan to Eid 2026. The projection was released by Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus.

Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Jatimbalinus has established a Task Force for Ramadan and Eid (RAFI) to anticipate the surge in energy demand. The RAFI task force will be operational from 9 March to 1 April 2026.

“Fuel oil consumption projections during this task force period are estimated to increase by approximately 11.9% from the normal average of 18,430 KL/day for petrol and decline approximately 9.8% from the normal consumption of 8,805 KL/day for diesel, in line with reduced industrial activity during the extended holiday,” said Area Manager Communication, Relations, and Corporate Social Responsibility at Pertamina Patra Niaga Jatimbalinus, Ahad Rahedi, on Thursday (12 March 2026).

Beyond fuel oil, Pertamina is also projecting an increase in household energy requirements during Ramadan to Eid of 7.3%.

In addition to fuel oil, household consumption, particularly kerosene, is estimated to increase by 7.3% from the normal daily consumption of 375 KL/day. Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) consumption is also estimated to increase by 3.5% from the normal daily consumption of 6,567 MT/day.
