Fuel and LPG Distribution Confirmed Smooth for Idul Adha 1447 H
PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional (JBB) confirms operational readiness and ensures energy supply for residents in DKI Jakarta, West Java, and Banten during Idul Adha 1447 H. This measure is taken to anticipate potential increases in energy consumption among the public. Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional ensures all petrol stations, LPG agents, and depots operate optimally to ensure safe and smooth distribution of petroleum products (BBM) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). Susanto August Satria, Area Manager for Communication, Relations & CSR at PT Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional (JBB), stated on Tuesday (26 May) that operational readiness is supported by stockpiling and on-site inspections of all distribution facilities. ‘To anticipate demand surges, we continuously monitor consumption patterns on the ground and prepare public demand projections. Should the need arise, we are ready to increase BBM and LPG distribution as required, while subsidized and mandated products will adhere to government-set quotas,’ he explained. Between 26 May and 1 June 2026, energy consumption in the West Java Regional area is projected to rise due to increased public mobility during Idul Adha and the extended holiday. Gasoline products (Pertalite, Pertamax, Pertamax Green, and Pertamax Turbo) are expected to see a 2.81% increase, while Gasoil (Biosolar, Dexlite, and Pertamina Dex) will rise by 1.64% compared to normal levels. ‘LPG consumption is also forecast to rise by 3.86%. Despite the increased demand, energy stocks in the West Java Regional area are assured to remain sufficient and secure to meet public needs,’ he added. In addition to securing supply, Pertamina Patra Niaga West Java Regional is strengthening coordination with local governments and law enforcement agencies to jointly monitor the distribution of subsidized BBM and LPG to ensure they reach the intended beneficiaries. ‘We also urge the public to use subsidized products, including 3kg LPG and subsidized fuel, in accordance with regulations and intended purposes to ensure they reach those entitled,’ he said.
