From Tomorrow: Palm Oil, Coal and Ferro Alloy Exports Must Report to DSI
PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI) will officially commence operations on Monday, 1 June 2026. This operational launch aligns with a transition period lasting until 31 December 2026 at the latest.
Economy Minister Airlangga Hartarto stated that several commodities, including coal, palm oil, and ferro alloy, will fall under the export scheme managed by PT DSI.
“Strategic natural resource exports will be channelled through a single window via the state-owned export company PT Danantara Sumber Daya Indonesia (DSI). This mechanism ensures proper export monitoring, quality control, and data validity for more effective implementation,” Airlangga said during a press conference on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
He explained that the single-window export policy aims to minimise fraudulent practices such as under-invoicing, transfer pricing, and foreign exchange leakage.
He assured exporters they can continue normal export activities from tomorrow, but must report their export activities to DSI during the transition period.
“Initial evaluations will be conducted over the first three months, forming the basis for subsequent implementation phases,” he added.
Airlangga further noted that DSI will fully manage all export processes from 1 January 2027. The policy is expected to improve national export governance.
“This policy aims to ensure business certainty, maintain realisation of export shipments, and uphold existing contracts, in line with agreements between exporters and trading partners,” he stated.
“The government will ensure a smooth, measured transition while safeguarding the business climate and enhancing trust with international trading partners,” he concluded.
