The National Monument (Monas) in Jakarta served as the centre for the “From the Palace to the People” celebration on Saturday (28/). During this event, 100,000 food aid packages from the President of the Republic of Indonesia were distributed to Jakarta residents as an effort to help meet basic needs after Eid al-Fitr while maintaining food price stability amid increased public consumption.

PT Berdikari also participated in the activity. This initiative aims to assist the community in obtaining essentials amid the joy following Eid al-Fitr celebrations, safeguard food price stability, and strengthen the spirit of togetherness towards national food resilience.

The distribution of 100,000 presidential food aid packages was given to the public across all areas of Jakarta. In addition to food aid, the event was enlivened with culinary offerings from micro, small, and medium enterprises (UMKM), performances by capital city band artists, family entertainment areas, and fireworks displays. Everything was free and could be enjoyed by the entire community along with their families.

The activity was a presidential directive to entertain, bring joy, and provide the best for the public in this Eid atmosphere.

It also represented an extraordinary cross-agency collaboration, with very short preparations involving the Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Coordinating Ministry for Food of the Republic of Indonesia, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Food SOEs (IDFood), Bulog, the Jakarta Provincial Government, as well as TNI and Polri. Cabinet Secretary of the Republic of Indonesia, Teddy Indra Wijaya, stated that the event became a moment to share happiness with the community.

“So for the coupon earlier, 1 coupon for 500 thousand, 300 thousand of it in the form of basic foodstuffs, and 200 thousand can be exchanged for goods from UMKM,” he said in an official statement.

PT Berdikari also supported community food needs by supplying high-quality carcass chicken from the company’s poultry slaughterhouse (RPHU) as a source of animal protein. This aligns with the government’s programme for public welfare.

The public also received various basic commodities from Bulog and ID FOOD Group, including rice, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, and sardines, thereby helping to ease household needs.

General Manager of Corporate Secretary & Social Responsibility at PT Berdikari, AS Hasbi Al-Islahi, conveyed that their presence was not merely to provide 100,000 quality chicken packages, but also to deploy employees to assist in serving the public from start to finish of the event.

“As a livestock SOE, we are also committed to supporting the fulfilment of quality animal protein sources to encourage increased protein consumption among the public,” Hasbi explained.

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to meet President Jokowi and SBY at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. This meeting follows previous greetings with Megawati.

President Prabowo Subianto held an open house at the Presidential Palace during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah for the general public.

President Prabowo held the open house with a capacity of around 5,000 people, taking place from afternoon to evening.

He ensured that no open house would be held at official residences, to provide more space for togetherness among the public, his staff, and families.

President Prabowo Subianto asked ministers, agency heads, and members of the Red and White Cabinet not to hold lavish Eid open house events.
