The government held the “From the Palace to the People” programme in the National Monument (Monas) area, Jakarta, on Saturday (28/3/2026). Through this event, the government distributed 100,000 presidential food aid packages to the public in need. The activity is part of assisting the public in obtaining basic necessities amid the joy following Eid al-Fitr celebrations, maintaining food price stability, and strengthening the spirit of togetherness towards national food resilience. In addition to the presidential food aid, the event was enlivened with UMKM culinary offerings, music performances by capital city artists, family entertainment areas, and fireworks displays. Everything was free and could be enjoyed by the entire public along with their families. The activity is a follow-up to the President’s directive to bring happiness to the public post-Eid al-Fitr, while also maintaining food price stability amid rising consumption needs. “So for each coupon of 500,000, 300,000 of it is in the form of basic foodstuffs, and 200,000 can be exchanged for goods from UMKM,” said Teddy in a press statement on Sunday (29/3/2026). The event involved cross-ministry and agency collaboration, from the State Secretariat Ministry, Ministry of Trade, Coordinating Ministry for Food, Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, to food SOEs such as ID FOOD and Perum Bulog, as well as support from the Jakarta Provincial Government and TNI-Polri apparatus. In this event, PT Berdikari participated by providing quality chicken carcasses from the company’s modern poultry slaughterhouse (RPHU). This contribution is part of efforts to meet animal protein needs for the public. In addition, the public also received various basic commodities such as rice, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, and sardines supplied by Bulog and ID FOOD Group. According to him, PT Berdikari also deployed employees to be directly involved in the event’s organisation, from distribution to serving the public at the location. As an SOE in the livestock sector, they are committed to supporting increased animal protein consumption through the provision of quality food, while also playing an active role in maintaining national food price stability. “PT Berdikari’s presence in this event is not just about providing 100,000 quality chicken packages, but also actively involved in helping with this extraordinary event, from the palace to the people. We deployed employees to assist in serving the public from the beginning to the end of the event,” he emphasised.
