Governor of Central Sulawesi Anwar Hafid emphasised the importance of using Idulfitri as a momentum to strengthen unity, sincerity, and social solidarity. This was conveyed during his sermon at the solemn observance of Idulfitri Prayer 1447 H, attended by thousands of congregants filling the Raya Baitul Khairaat Mosque in Palu. Anwar Hafid’s presence among the people was not merely ceremonial but served as a symbol of the leader’s closeness to the populace during this meaningful religious occasion.

He also viewed Idulfitri as a starting point for tightening social bonds while reinforcing the values of togetherness amid the life of Central Sulawesi’s society.

In his sermon, he described Ramadan as a spiritual journey that has concluded, yet leaves a profound imprint on Muslims in the Land of Tadulako. He reminded that the holy month is not just about worship but also a process of character building and faith strengthening.

“Now the vehicle named Ramadan has left the Land of Tadulako, leaving us all with a deep sense of longing,” said Anwar Hafid on Saturday (21/3).

He stressed that the end of Ramadan is not merely the closure of worship routines but an opportunity for reflection on the quality of faith practised over the full month. According to him, this moment is crucial for measuring how far Ramadan’s values have been embedded in everyday life.

“The Ramadan we love has departed, and may we all meet again in good health,” he continued.

He regarded Idulfitri not only as a celebration of victory but also as a space to strengthen hopes that all deeds of worship are accepted by Allah SWT. In this context, Idulfitri becomes a moment for evaluation and spiritual reinforcement for every individual.

“On this fitri holiday, may all our deeds of worship from the previous Ramadan be accepted by Allah SWT,” he stated.

He also invited the community to open the doors of forgiveness as widely as possible, as an implementation of the Ramadan values that have been practised. The attitude of mutual forgiveness, in his view, is an important foundation in building a harmonious social life.

“On this day, may the doors of forgiveness for us be opened wide; happy Idulfitri to us all,” he concluded.

He affirmed that the spirit of Idulfitri must serve as a strengthener of unity and social solidarity in Central Sulawesi’s society. The values grown during Ramadan, he said, need to be continuously maintained and implemented in daily life. The Idulfitri Prayer at the Raya Baitul Khairaat Mosque proceeded orderly and with full devotion. This momentum simultaneously reaffirms his commitment to continue being present in every important phase of the community’s social and religious life.
