From School, SDN 5 Pedungan Students Learn to Sort Waste

Students at SD Negeri 5 Pedungan, Denpasar, Bali, participated in the Gema Pelita Waste Bank activity on Thursday (10/09/2026). During the event, students brought and deposited collected waste to be sorted and managed, with the amount of waste collected reaching approximately one tonne per session.

The waste bank initiative serves as a method for the school to introduce waste management to students through simple, routine activities. In addition to instilling the habit of sorting waste from an early age, the programme helps reduce waste volume and supports broader efforts to address waste management issues in the surrounding environment.
