From Moscow, Prabowo Continues Visit to Paris

President Prabowo Subianto is continuing his state visit to Paris, France, after undergoing intensive meetings with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Moscow, Russia. Prabowo arrived in Paris on Monday night, 13 April 2026, at 23.50 local time.

“After holding a meeting that lasted five hours with President Putin at the Kremlin Palace, the President immediately departed for France with a travel time of about 3.5 hours and arrived in the middle of the night in Paris,” said Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya in a written statement on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.

According to Teddy, the lengthy meeting between Prabowo and Putin demonstrates the seriousness of Indonesia and Russia in strengthening their strategic partnership, particularly in the energy sector, mineral resources, and national industry development.

Upon arrival in Paris, the Head of State is scheduled to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. “The President will hold a one-on-one meeting with President Macron at the Élysée Palace to discuss enhancing the strategic cooperation between the two countries,” said Teddy.

Teddy stated that the meeting between Prabowo and Macron will not only focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation but will also serve as an important opportunity for Indonesia to convey its strategic perspectives regarding global dynamics.

“In that meeting, the President, in addition to strengthening cooperation with the French Government, will also convey Indonesia’s position in maintaining stability and promoting world peace,” said Teddy.
