WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.com — US President Donald Trump is reported to have purchased bonds worth at least $51 million or approximately Rp 879.8 billion in March 2026.

The information comes from financial disclosure documents released by the US Office of Government Ethics.

The documents record around 175 financial transactions throughout that month. The value of each transaction is not detailed precisely, only shown in ranges.

Most of Trump’s investments are directed towards municipal bonds. These instruments are issued by state governments, counties, school districts, to public project entities and public-private partnerships.

In addition, there are purchases of corporate bonds. Two of them come from Weyerhaeuser and General Motors companies.

Trump also placed funds in exchange traded funds (ETFs) that track high-yield bond indices.

The corporate bond portfolio covers various sectors, from energy, technology, healthcare, to financial services.

Overall, the maximum value of all of Trump’s bond purchases across various asset classes is estimated to reach $161 million or approximately Rp 2.78 trillion.
