From Kitchen Waste, Batang Civil Servants Turn Used Cooking Oil into Clean Energy

A number of Civil Servants (ASN) collected used cooking oil at the Pendopo of Batang Regency, Central Java, on Monday (13/4/2026). The local government, through the Batang Regency PKK, has instructed all ASN within the regency government to collect used cooking oil, which is valued at Rp7,000 per litre, to be processed by the relevant authorities into aircraft fuel and other clean energy sources such as biodiesel. The initiative aims to reduce waste pollution, carbon emissions, and support the circular economy.
