Among the aid offered to help relieve the sufferings of
tsunami disaster victims in Aceh is volunteer services for the
evacuation and medical treatment of survivors as well as the
clearing of rubble.

However, the goodwill and noble intentions, if carried out
impulsively and hastily, without considering various emergency
factors amid Aceh's devastation, may even increase the burden of
government and military personnel now undertaking post-tsunami
relief work.

The fact is that some volunteers are complaining that they do
not receive attention or facilities in Aceh. Others even seek
military protection in case of disturbances caused by the Free
Aceh Movement separatists. Isn't this ridiculous and
unreasonable?
