From Hometowns to Jakarta, Pertamina Facilitates Return Flow for Eid
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA - PT Pertamina (Persero) has for the first time introduced a return mobilisation service for Eid travellers heading back to the Special Capital Region of Jakarta, as part of the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme. This initiative represents Pertamina’s commitment to supporting the smooth mobility of the public during the Eid al-Fitr return period in 2026.
More than 900 participants were simultaneously transported back to Jakarta from four assembly points: Cirebon, Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya. The departure from Yogyakarta was officiated by Independent Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero) Condro Kirono at Stadion Mandala Krida on Saturday (28/3/2026).
Condro Kirono stated that the programme not only provides mobility convenience but also reflects the spirit of collaboration in ensuring more orderly and efficient journeys.
“This programme is a form of Pertamina’s care in supporting public mobility. We want to accompany the journey from start to finish, not only during the outbound trip but also on the return to Jakarta. Through the use of shared transportation, we also hope to encourage energy efficiency while helping to reduce traffic density during Eid,” said Condro.
Corporate Secretary of PT Pertamina (Persero), Arya Dwi Paramita, added that this return flow service is provided to ensure that travellers have a comfortable journey experience until they arrive in Jakarta.
“We want to ensure that the Eid travellers can return to Jakarta smoothly and safely after celebrating Idulfitri with their families,” said Arya.
Through this programme, Arya expressed that Pertamina is striving to support the government’s programme on energy efficiency amid the current global situation. By providing bus fleets and facilitating the public with comfortable public transport, Pertamina hopes to encourage society to participate in using energy thriftily.
“The mudik and return service programme using mass transportation is a concrete step to reduce fuel oil consumption. We hope that the public can arrive in Jakarta comfortably, safely, and proudly because they have supported energy sustainability for the nation,” said Arya.
Previously, on Sunday (15/3/2026), Pertamina had transported more than 5,000 travellers with 153 bus fleets to 23 destinations on Java Island through the Mudik Bareng Pertamina 2026 programme. Carrying the theme “Safe Mudik, Sharing Hope”, Pertamina plays an active role in providing more orderly mudik journeys, enhancing energy efficiency, and supporting the reduction of exhaust gas emissions.
