From Ferrari to Gold Paintings: Prosecutor's Office to Auction Assets Totaling Rp 100 Billion
The Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) has officially launched the BPA Fair 2026. A number of assets will be auctioned, ranging from sports cars to gold-material paintings.
The series of BPA Fair activities will take place from 18 May to 22 May 2026. Through this event, BPA continues its commitment to optimising the recovery and management of state assets.
Head of the Asset Recovery Agency, Kuntadi, stated that this BPA Fair event is the first innovation expected to be a game changer in asset resolution functions, particularly through the auction sales mechanism, which has previously faced challenges with low public response.
“This programme is designed comprehensively to strengthen the national asset recovery system through data integration and optimisation of economic and social benefits from assets resulting from law enforcement,” said Kuntadi in his statement on Wednesday (22/4/2026).
In addition to strengthening cross-sector coordination with various government economic institutions, the BPA Fair emphasises digital transformation to increase transparency and efficiency in the auction process. This step, Kuntadi explained, is accompanied by increased capacity of human resources and intensive public education on the stages of auctioning confiscated state goods through the Office of State Wealth Management and Auction (KPKNL).
In its implementation, the Asset Recovery Agency collaborates with the Ministry of Finance and the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), which includes BNI, Bank Mandiri, and BSI.
“This strategic collaboration with Himbara banks is a form of support for transaction and payment systems, as well as partners in publication and education to the public. In this event, there are an estimated more than 400 assets divided into 245 lots to be auctioned, with a sales target of 75 percent,” he revealed.
Based on initial estimates, the value of movable assets to be auctioned reaches more than Rp 100 billion. Some flagship assets offered include sports cars and gold paintings.
Around 90% of the available assets are movable assets, making it easier for the public to view and understand the auction objects directly. The offered assets cover various categories, from jewellery, luxury bags, vehicles including sports cars, to artworks such as high-value paintings.
All these assets have undergone management and maintenance processes to preserve their economic value before being auctioned to the public.
In his remarks, Head of the Public Relations Centre for Law of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, emphasised that the BPA Fair 2026 is a real manifestation of the law enforcement institutions’ commitment to openness, particularly in the management and recovery of assets.
“Law enforcement does not stop at prosecution but must also ensure the recovery of state losses. This activity serves as a medium for public education while addressing various perceptions that have developed in society,” he said.
He hopes the public gains a more comprehensive understanding of the asset management mechanism resulting from law enforcement, which has not been fully publicised so far. The offered assets have competitive and fair values according to market prices to attract auction participants without ignoring the principle of optimising state revenue.
The types of assets auctioned include various flagship assets such as strategic properties and high-value vehicles, which not only come from confiscated cases but also include bank collateral assets. The entire registration and public participation process is conducted openly through the official e-catalogue as a manifestation of transparency and accountability in ensuring equal access for all publics.
The Asset Recovery Agency is optimistic that state asset management will become an important instrument in supporting economic stability and the quality of government governance.
BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo expressed his support and appreciation for the organisation of the BPA Fair. This event is a strategic step in strengthening the sharia-based property and asset ecosystem in Indonesia.
“It is hoped that this event can attract the right potential buyers to drive increased transactions and provide added value for all stakeholders,” he added.
Meanwhile, Bank Mandiri Corporate Secretary Adhika Vista also stated that the collaboration with BPA is a form of more comprehensive asset optimisation in efforts to create sustainable excellence. “Through strong business ecosystem synergy, we are committed to accelerating asset utilisation to provide optimal economic added value,” said Adhika.
The launch event was attended by Secretary of the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency Idianto, Head of the Public Relations Centre for Law of the Attorney General’s Office Anang Supriatna, Bank Mandiri Corporate Director Mochamad Rizadi, BNI SVP Rangga Bhirawa, and BSI SEVP Information Technology Muhammad Misbahul Munir.
