From Coffee-on-Wheels for the Community, a Takjil Convoy Spreads Across 10 Jakarta Points
Amid the city’s bustle ahead of iftar, acts of sharing often come in simple forms, such as a glass of iced coffee or a takjil bundle handed to those still on the move. Jago Coffee, in collaboration with Tokopedia, has launched the Ramadan programme Konvoi Takjil Keliling, an initiative delivering hundreds of Jago Coffee carts into communities across Jakarta.
“Throughout the activation period, more than 14,000 cups of Jago coffee, 22,000 takjil, and 8,000 Tokopedia gift cards have been distributed to residents of Jakarta as part of Ramadan activities,” said Yoshua Tanu, Co-Founder & CEO of Jago Coffee, on Friday, 6 March.
The Takjil Keliling programme ran from 2–9 March 2026 at ten Jakarta points such as Kendal, Blok M, Tebet, Kota Tua, Karet Kuningan, Manggarai, Menteng Dalam and the Bendungan Hilir area and its surroundings. In addition to distributing coffee and takjil at various city points, the Konvoi Takjil Keliling also traversed the main corridor of South Jakarta on 3 March 2026.
Hundreds of Jago Coffee carts moved from and returned to Taman Mataram, forming a convoy that symbolised sharing moving from one community to another.
For those wishing to participate, involvement can be done digitally via the Tokopedia and Jago apps. “To obtain free takjil, the public simply completes the Kejar Ketupat mini game in the Tokopedia app and downloads the Jago app as part of the redemption process,” Yoshua said.
He added that during Ramadan, they also launched the initiative #SegelasKebaikan, inviting simple acts of kindness with tangible impact for others.
Through this programme, Jago Coffee launched a Ramadan package priced at Rp80,000 consisting of one signature drink, a merchandise bag, and a donation of Rp17,000 channelled via Kitabisa.com to assist disaster victims in Sumatra.
“Through these activities, we hope to deliver meaningful moments of sharing within the community. The presence of our carts at various city corners demonstrates how coffee can reach more people in a close and accessible way,” Yoshua said.
This aligns with the Anytime Anywhere spirit, offering coffee to enjoy anytime and anywhere while continuing to give back to the community.
Since its founding in 2019, Jago Coffee has offered a new way to enjoy quality coffee through a cafe-on-wheels concept powered by electric carts operating in various urban environments.
