Bandung-based tutoring institution Ganesha Operation (GO) is continuing to expand its contribution to improving the quality of national education through collaboration with local governments. Most recently, GO partnered with the Education and Culture Office of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province and the Education and Culture Office of Kupang City to strengthen students’ readiness for the Academic Ability Test (TKA) and selection for higher education levels. This collaboration was realised through an education seminar involving more than 8,000 participants, including primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary school students, as well as school principals, teachers, and parents. GO President Director Prof Bob Foster stated that improving the quality of human resources cannot be done by one party alone. He said synergy between the government, schools, universities, and non-formal education institutions is key to preparing the younger generation for increasingly competitive education. ‘The TKA score is currently one of the requirements for the achievement pathway in the New Student Admissions Selection (SPMB), and it even becomes a supporting component in university entrance selection through the National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway. Therefore, students need to prepare themselves well from now on,’ he explained. He noted that based on GO’s evaluation, students’ TKA scores across various education levels still have room for improvement. The seminar therefore adopted the theme of strategies for achieving high TKA scores and entering dream state universities or official colleges for upper secondary students, and strategies for achieving high TKA scores and entering favourite lower and upper secondary schools for primary and lower secondary students. Prof Bob added that success in facing assessments is not achieved instantly, but through a structured and consistent learning process. For this reason, GO applies the ‘3B Formula’ approach: Learning, Practising, and Competing, combined with the use of technology through the GO Expert application. ‘Through the 3B Formula, this approach has helped many students achieve a score of 100 in the TKA, even perfect scores in all tested subjects,’ he said. According to him, digital transformation is also an important part of education. With technology-based learning, students can access materials, practice questions, and evaluations anytime and anywhere, making the learning process more flexible without reducing the quality of learning. The seminar received full support from the NTT Provincial Government. NTT Governor Emanuel Melkiades Laka Lena opened the event online. He asserted that the greatest investment is in developing the quality of human resources. The Governor revealed that based on national TKA results, NTT is currently ranked 36th out of 38 provinces. This situation is a challenge that must be addressed through collaboration between various parties. On the same occasion, Head of the NTT Education and Culture Office Ambrosius Kodo expressed hope that NTT would become more competitive through better student preparation. Meanwhile, Acting Head of the Kupang City Education and Culture Office Ernest S Ludji said that students’ readiness to face assessments is not only determined by mastery of the material. Students also need to have learning strategies and time management skills to face various forms of educational evaluation better. The series of collaborations between Ganesha Operation and the NTT Provincial Government will continue through a Teacher Strengthening Workshop for Compulsory TKA Subjects for the 2026/2027 Academic Year on 29 July 2026, as well as the 2026 National TKA Computer-Based Try Out for primary, lower secondary, and upper secondary schools on 5–11 August 2026.
