From Atop a Command Vehicle, Dasco Tells Students: We Will Follow Up on Your Aspirations

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR RI), Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, met with a mass of students demonstrating in front of the DPR RI building. He even climbed onto the command vehicle to explain the details of the discussions held with student representatives inside the DPR RI building for approximately 1.5 hours.

“Long live the students, long live the students, long live the people of Indonesia,” Dasco shouted from atop the command vehicle on Friday (19/06/2025).

“To all of you, my student friends, we have just conducted an audience and received the aspirations from the representatives of your comrades,” he continued.

Dasco stated that his office has heard all the students’ demands. He also immediately contacted the relevant parties to ensure that the students’ aspirations are addressed.

“Some of these aspirations have been conveyed directly via telephone to the executive branch, specifically to both the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Head of the National Food Agency (BGN), and our aspirations were heard directly by them,” he said.

Dasco emphasised that his office will ensure the follow-up of the submitted aspirations. They have received everything presented, both during the student protest and during discussions with the representatives.

“Some of the aspirations directed at the DPR have also been conveyed by us, and God willing, we will continue and follow them up,” he added.
