RT 11/RW 07 Gandaria Utara in Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, which has developed an integrated technology-based security system called “Si Jaga Warga”, is now being promoted as a model for other areas in DKI Jakarta.

The community security system has been praised for successfully combining citizen participation with digital technology to ensure safety at the grassroots level of government.

“If this system can be implemented in every lane, the area will at least be safe,” he said during a visit to RT 11, which won the DKI Jakarta Siskamling competition on Wednesday (27 May 2026).

Rano also highlighted the system’s preparedness for emergencies, including power outages.

“Have we considered what happens during a blackout? If not, we’ll sort it out later. We’ll seek CSR,” he said.

“Hopefully this can be replicated, meaning you’re ready to provide training? We’ll invite several villages to adopt this system,” Rano added.

Beyond security, Rano believes the area has potential to become a technology training hub, including artificial intelligence (AI) for residents and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

“I have a team to discuss AI. I think this location would be ideal for training children in AI, especially with MSMEs present,” he added.

The “Si Jaga Warga” system features innovations such as evening loudspeakers at six locations, panic buttons, QR patrols, and CCTV accessible via residents’ mobile phones.

Additionally, the area has implemented a digital lane system with technology-based and GPS access as part of strengthening neighbourhood security.
