From 118 Plots, Only 58 Land Plots Freed for Pasar Minggu Through Road Project
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has revealed the reason why the construction of the road parallel to the railway in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, has not yet been completed. The main reason is that the land acquisition for the Pasar Minggu Through Road construction has not been fully completed.
Head of the Data and Information Centre of the DKI Jakarta Road Infrastructure Agency, Siti Dinarwenny, stated that they remain committed to completing the construction of the Pasar Minggu access road parallel to the railway in South Jakarta, as planned. This is because the construction aims to provide optimal benefits for the community.
“The construction will continue after the land acquisition process is completed,” said Wenny when confirmed by Republika in Jakarta on Tuesday (21/4/2026).
Wenny explained that the land acquisition stage is currently ongoing at the South Jakarta Land Office as the Chair of the Land Acquisition Implementation Team. However, she could not confirm when the process for the entire two-kilometre stretch would be completed.
She mentioned that out of a total of 118 land plots, land acquisition has been realised for 58 plots as of 2025. Meanwhile, the remaining 58 land plots are still in process. Among these, there are eight land plots that are government assets.
“The DKI Jakarta Provincial Road Infrastructure Agency hopes for support from the community so that this construction process can run smoothly for the common interest,” said Wenny.
