Friendly Moment: Rocky Gerung Shakes Hands and Laughs with Prabowo at the Palace

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto inaugurated six new officials in the Merah Putih Cabinet at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday, 27 April 2026. Those inaugurated included Hanif Faisol as Deputy Minister Coordinator for Food Affairs, Jumhur Hidayat as Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency, Dudung Abdurachman as Head of the Presidential Staff. Additionally, Muhammad Qodari as Head of the Government Communication Agency, Hasan Nasbi as Special Presidential Advisor for Communication, and Abdul Kadir Karding as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. After the inauguration, Prabowo continued by witnessing the signing of the minutes of the event, followed by shaking hands with the newly appointed officials. An interesting moment occurred when President Prabowo shook hands with political commentator Rocky Gerung. Prabowo appeared to converse warmly, even laughing with Rocky Gerung. After Prabowo, it was the turn of Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to shake hands with Rocky Gerung. It is known that Rocky Gerung attended to accompany Jumhur Hidayat, who was inaugurated as Minister of Environment. In addition, activist Syahganda Nainggolan was present to accompany Jumhur in the inauguration.
