Friendly Moment as Prabowo Shakes Hands and Chats with Rocky Gerung

President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated six new officials at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (27/4/2026). They are as follows: Hanif Faisol as Deputy Minister Coordinator for Food Affairs; Jumhur Hidayat as Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency; Dudung Abdurachman as Head of the Presidential Staff; Muhammad Qodari as Head of the Government Communication Agency; Hasan Nasbi as Special Presidential Advisor for Communication; Abdul Kadir Karding as Head of the Indonesian Quarantine Agency. After the oath-taking and signing of the minutes, there was an interesting moment when intellectual Rocky Gerung shook hands with Prabowo. Based on observations by CNBC Indonesia, they appeared friendly, chatting and laughing. After Prabowo, it was Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka’s turn to shake hands with Rocky. As is known, Rocky was present to accompany Jumhur, who was inaugurated as Minister of Environment/Head of the Environmental Control Agency. Also present accompanying Jumhur was activist Syahganda Nainggolan. “Alhamdulillah, I have been appointed as Minister of Environment. There will certainly be many things that need to be done right in front of our eyes, for example, waste management will gradually follow global standards, various international agreements that we will work on,” Jumhur told reporters.
