Friderica Widyasari, UGM Alumna, Appointed New Head of OJK for 2026-2031 Period
The appointment of Friderica Widyasari Dewi as the new leader of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for the 2026-2031 period has attracted public attention. According to reports, the decision was ratified in a plenary session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) held at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday, 12 March 2026, chaired by DPR Speaker Puan Maharani. During the session, DPR Commission XI Chairman Misbakhun presented the results of the fit and proper test for 10 candidates for OJK Board Commissioner positions.
From this process, Commission XI agreed on five individuals to fill positions on the Board of Commissioners for the 2026-2031 period. Following the report’s presentation, the session chair requested approval from assembly members present, and all participants approved unanimously.
The composition of the five OJK Board Commissioners for 2026-2031 ratified in the plenary session is as follows: Friderica Widyasari Dewi (Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners), Hernawan Bekti Sasongko (Vice Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners), Hasan Fawzi (Chief Executive for Capital Markets, Derivative Finance, and Carbon Exchange Supervision), Dicky Kartikoyono (Chief Executive for Conduct Supervision, Financial Services Business Education, and Consumer Protection), and Adi Budiarso (Chief Executive for Innovation Technology Supervision, Digital Financial Assets, and Crypto Assets).
