Freshman Bullied at Bandung Campus as Gas Is Sprayed While a Lighter Is Lit

Bandung – A bullying incident at Telkom University in Bandung Regency went viral. The incident reportedly took place on Friday, 10 October 2026, in a campus dormitory.

A video circulating on social media appears to show a new student being bullied and threatened by an alleged perpetrator, who is also a Telkom University student. The alleged perpetrator sprays gas while lighting a match, frightening the victim.

Telkom University public relations representative Adrianai confirmed that the incident took place on Friday night in a campus dormitory.

“The matter is currently being handled by Tel-U’s PPKPT committee. We will provide further information as soon as possible,” Adrianai said when contacted on Saturday, 10 October 2026.

Adrianai said the two alleged perpetrators had been taken into custody by the student affairs department.

“According to the information we received from student affairs, they have been detained by the department,” Adrianai said.
