JAKARTA - One civil servant (ASN) at the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has been dismissed after being proven to have proxy attended despite not entering the office. “I have dismissed one civil servant at the Ministry of Social Affairs. One person, while the others are still in process,” said Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf, or Gus Ipul, on Thursday (26/3/2026). “For the past several years, they have never entered and have not carried out duties properly,” he stated. “This year up to March, there have already been three PKH (Family Hope Programme) assistants with PPPK (government employee with work agreement) status who have been dismissed,” he explained. In 2025, around 500 ASN received administrative sanctions in the form of SP1 and SP2. Then 49 of them were dismissed. “For those who commit minor violations and are willing to improve their performance, we certainly give them a chance. However, for serious violations, they will be processed according to the applicable rules,” he emphasised. He added that civil servant performance is monitored not only by official institutions but also by the public. Every report received will be followed up as part of efforts to maintain the integrity of public services.
