I have lived in Slipi, West Jakarta, since July 2002 and have found that the service from the city water company is very poor.
At first I thought it was caused by the S. Parman road expansion project but was wrong, as even after completion of the project, the service was still very bad. I often cannot obtain water supply.
I tried to contact the call center, but to no avail. Then, on Dec. 10, 2002, there was no drinking water at all, without prior notice. Only on the following morning was there a notice in the media that the water supply had been stopped for three days.
I tried to contact the call center again and also the West Jakarta municipality head. I was told that the head had complained about this matter to the city water company, but also to no avail.
The company should be responsive to complaints from the public and realize that it must serve the public properly.
