Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - PT Freeport Indonesia recorded revenues of US8.6billionorRp137.6trillion(exchangerateofRp16, 000perUS) throughout 2025. Of this revenue, nearly half was deposited to the state in the form of taxes, royalties, and dividends.

President Director of Freeport Indonesia, Tony Wenas, revealed that the total contribution to the state in 2025 reached US$4.3 billion or nearly Rp70 trillion. The deposits consisted of taxes of around US$2 billion, non-tax state revenues (PNBP) of US$1.2 billion, and dividends of around US$1 billion to MIND ID.

“So the total revenue for our company in 2025 is 8.6 billion dollars. And from that, the state receipts in 2025 can reach 4.3 billion dollars, even above the work plan due to the corporate income tax that we have to pay monthly,” said Tony during a Working Meeting with Commission VII of the House of Representatives, Monday (13/4/2026).

Nevertheless, he disclosed that the company’s operational performance in 2025 was impacted by an incident involving a wet material landslide at the underground Grasberg Block Cave (GBC) mine in Tembagapura. As a result, all mining activities were temporarily halted until 20 October 2025, after the victim evacuation process was completed.

Tony stated that this operational halt affected production, with copper output dropping by nearly 30% and gold production plummeting by more than 50% or around 51%.

However, Tony assessed that the rise in copper and gold commodity prices was able to withstand the pressure on financial performance. Thus, the company’s revenue only fell by around 17%, with total sales reaching US$8.6 billion in 2025.

“Thus, copper production in 2025 dropped by nearly 30% and gold production fell by nearly 50% or slightly more, 51%. Nevertheless, there was a significant increase in copper and gold prices, so our sales revenue only decreased by 17%. So the total revenue for our company in 2025 is 8.6 billion dollars,” he added.
