JAKARTA - PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) has deposited a total of Rp 75 trillion with the state. This amount comes from taxes, royalties, dividends, and the company’s net profit share for 2025. Most recently, PTFI deposited an additional company net profit share for 2025 amounting to Rp 4.8 trillion to the central government and the Central Papua regional government on 8 April 2026. In detail, from the total deposit of Rp 75 trillion, this includes dividends to MIND ID as the Indonesian government’s shareholder amounting to Rp 16.9 trillion. In addition, the regional government received a share of Rp 13.48 trillion. This value consists of Rp 10.6 trillion paid throughout 2025 and an additional Rp 2.88 trillion from the 2025 company net profit share. It was also given to seven other districts in Central Papua, each receiving Rp 137.2 billion with a total of Rp 960.4 billion or 2 percent. The seven districts are Nabire Regency, Paniai, Puncak, Puncak Jaya, Dogiyai, Deiyai, and Intan Jaya. Tony stated that PTFI’s contribution to the state still has the potential to increase along with the relatively high mineral commodity prices. “Currently, PTFI’s operations are still in the recovery phase after the Grasberg Block Cave (GBC) underground mine incident, with production levels only reaching around 40 to 50 percent. The company targets to return to full capacity in early 2028,” explained Tony. In addition to contributions to the state, PTFI also continues its social investment programmes in the areas around the company’s operational regions. Throughout 2025, the company’s social investment value reached Rp 2 trillion. “PTFI’s success as a company is when the communities around the operational areas also improve their standard of living and welfare. We believe there is no successful company in the midst of a failed society. Therefore, we will continue to grow and develop together with the community until the end of mining operations,” concluded Tony.
