Free Workshop Established at Gadog Post in Puncak for Vehicle Repairs
The Indonesian National Police has set up a free workshop at the Gadog Post in Bogor, enabling motorists heading to or returning from Puncak to have their vehicles repaired on site.
“Through this free workshop, we want to assist members of the public who experience minor vehicle troubles so they can be addressed promptly and allow travellers to continue their journey safely and comfortably,” said Iptu Afif Widhi Ananto, Head of Traffic Operations at Bogor Police, on Thursday, 18 March 2026.
The workshop simultaneously supports smooth traffic flow for holiday travel and tourism during the Ketupat Operation. The police encourage the public to take advantage of the facility.
“The free workshop facility is located at the Gadog Integrated Post (Hoegeng Post), which serves as one of the primary service points for holiday travellers and tourists,” he explained.
Afif stated that the workshop is available free of charge to all motorists, urging the public to utilise the service.
“The free workshop has received a positive response from motorists. In addition to assisting with vehicle repairs, this facility represents a tangible example of the increasingly humanistic, responsive, and community-focused service delivery of the National Police,” he said.
The Gadog Post also offers additional facilities for motorists, including rest areas, electric vehicle charging stations, and a children’s play area.
“With the various service facilities at the Gadog Integrated Post (Hoegeng Post), it is hoped that public journeys to the Puncak area during the 2026 Ketupat Lodaya Operation will be safer, smoother, and more comfortable,” he concluded.
