Free School Bus Service in Depok Expanded, Here are the Route Details

DEPOK - The free school bus service in Depok City will be expanded. The Depok City Transportation Agency (Dishub) is adding new routes to improve transportation access for students. Head of the Transport Division of Dishub Depok, Aan Syurahman, stated that there are currently two school bus units available, but only one is actively operating. “Currently, there is one unit actively serving schoolchildren around Depok 1 and Lembah Gurame,” said Aan, quoted from the official Depok City Government website. In the near future, an additional bus unit will be operated to expand the service coverage, particularly on the route from Kalibaru to Depok Timur (Depok 2). “The plan is to activate another unit soon to serve the route from Kalibaru to Depok Timur or Depok 2,” he explained. Based on the socialisation materials, the free school bus routes pass through several strategic points in Depok City. In addition, this programme is expected to reduce traffic density by encouraging students to switch from private vehicles to public transport. “With the addition of these new routes, it is hoped that more students in Depok City can benefit from the free school bus service,” said Aan.
