Free Priority Pass at Tokyo Disney Resort to End on 31 August
Tokyo Disney Resort will end its free priority pass service on 31 August, according to a statement released by the service operator, Oriental Land Co. As reported by Kyodo on Monday, visitors will henceforth be required to pay for priority access to various attractions and shows.
Currently, the pass is available for 11 attractions across Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, including Big Thunder Mountain, a high-speed mine train roller coaster, and Turtle Talk, a theatrical attraction where guests can interact with Crush the sea turtle.
Once the free service concludes, visitors wishing to secure priority access must use Disney Premier Access, a paid service covering attractions, parades, and shows at the Urayasu resort near Tokyo. This service was originally launched in 2023 as part of the resort’s 40th-anniversary programme, allowing guests to enter specific attractions with shorter wait times during designated time slots.
Tokyo Disney Resort is the first Disney-themed entertainment resort built outside the United States, located in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. The legendary resort comprises two distinct theme parks, Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, alongside shopping areas and a hotel network integrated with a monorail system.
