The Indonesian National Police, through the Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri), continues to demonstrate a genuine commitment to serving the community through the Free Precision Homecoming 2026 programme.

Based on the latest report from the Ketupat Operation 2026 Command Post, as of Monday 16 March, public enthusiasm for utilising this safe transportation facility has been monitored as exceptionally high across various regions of Indonesia.

Cumulatively, the programme has successfully enrolled 32,721 participants who have been dispatched through the ranks of the Traffic Directorate (Ditlantas) of Regional Police Departments across the country.

To support large-scale mass mobility, the National Police have deployed an adequate fleet of transportation vehicles, including 663 buses, 29 Hiace vehicles, and the provision of one Passenger Motor Vessel (KMP).

The Central Java Regional Police Department has the largest concentration of participants, reaching 13,040 people with the support of 326 buses, followed by the West Sumatra Regional Police Department, which facilitated a total of 12,000 homecoming travellers.

In the capital region, the Metro Jaya Regional Police Department also made a significant contribution by dispatching 2,500 participants using 60 buses.

Meanwhile, variations in transportation modes were seen in the Aceh Regional Police Department, which combined buses and dozens of Hiace vehicles, as well as the East Java Regional Police Department, which specifically provided ships to transport hundreds of passengers along with their motorbikes.

The success of this participant registration received direct appreciation from the Traffic Corps of the National Police. The Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas), Inspector General Agus Suryo, expressed gratitude and thanks to the community that has participated in their homecoming journey with the Traffic Corps.

“The enthusiasm of the homecoming travellers, which has reached more than 32,000 people, is concrete evidence that the Free Precision Homecoming 2026 programme is eagerly anticipated by the general public,” said the Head of the Traffic Corps.

“This initiative is not merely a matter of transportation logistics, but rather a manifestation of attention and humanitarian action by the National Police for the community, as well as a strategic step in supporting the smooth and secure flow of homecoming traffic nationally. This action is in line with the spirit promoted by the police this year, namely ‘Safe Homecoming, Happy Family’,” he added.

Agus Suryo hopes that the participants of the Free Precision Homecoming can feel at ease whilst travelling, arrive safely in their hometowns, and experience happiness when reuniting with their families.

In addition to regions with participation figures in the thousands, other Regional Police Department units such as South Sulawesi, South Sumatra, Bali, South Kalimantan, Bengkulu, and Riau have also been actively ensuring that every resident who wishes to return home has access to adequate transportation.

This arrangement is expected to reduce the number of road accidents, particularly for members of the public who had previously planned to travel home using private vehicles that are less safe for long-distance journeys.
