The showdown on the legendary 5.2-kilometre track is expected to be fiercely contested, especially following the dramatic events at Catalunya, which included post-race tyre pressure penalties that cost Joan Mir his second-place finish and a points shift that tightened the championship standings.

Real threat also comes from Fabio Di Giannantonio. After securing the top podium at Catalunya, the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team rider has surged to third place with 116 points. Racing in front of his home crowd, “Diggia” is sure to have extra motivation to continue his positive form.

The fast characteristics of Mugello Circuit, with its long straights, will demand maximum motorcycle performance and bravery during late braking. Critical points such as the San Donato corner are predicted to once again witness aggressive overtaking manoeuvres.
