Free Nutritious Meal Vehicle Snags on Road Divider in Depok After Driver Forgets Handbrake

A vehicle transporting Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) became stuck on a road separator on Jalan Boulevard Grand Depok City (GDC) in Depok. The incident was triggered by the driver forgetting to engage the handbrake.

The Traffic Accident Unit head of the Depok Metro Police, Iptu Pujiono, stated that the event occurred on Wednesday (10/6/2026) at 05.30 WIB. The vehicle rolled onto the road because the driver forgot to pull the handbrake.

“Information from the Transport Agency tow truck operators indicates the box truck driver forgot to pull the handbrake. The vehicle subsequently rolled onto the road because the parking area was on a slight incline,” Iptu Pujiono said when contacted.

He confirmed there were no fatalities in the incident. The vehicle was successfully evacuated by the Transport Agency and the Sukmajaya Police Traffic Unit by 08.00 WIB.

“There were no casualties as a result of the incident. It occurred at 05.30 WIB and was evacuated by 08.00,” he stated.
