Free milk for orphans

JAKARTA: More than 2,100 children from 13 orphanages in Greater Jakarta will receive free milk during the entire month- long Ramadhan holy month.

The program was inaugurated on Thursday by PT New Zealand Milk Indonesia President Director Andy Corrigan at the Muslimin orphanage on Jl. Kramat Raya, Central Jakarta on Thursday.

During the fasting month, the children will receive a total of 6,513 sachets of calcium-enriched powdered milk worth Rp 100 million (US$9,600).

The donation is aimed at supporting the underprivileged children in celebrating the upcoming festive seasons of Ramadhan, Idul Fitri, and Christmas.--JP
