Free medical checkups
JAKARTA: Some 700 residents of the Karet Tengsin area of Central Jakarta received free medical checkups on Saturday organized by U.S.-based General Electric (GE) Medical System.
The company also provided Ultra Sono Graphic (USG) tests using its USG machines for pregnant women as part of its "GE Medical Drive" program.
The program's chairwoman Linda Carolina said that the annual program, which started here three years ago, was organized by GE employees and pensioners.
She said about US$2,500 was spent on Saturday's event, which was held in the parking lot of the company's head office at the Menara Batavia, Central Jakarta.--JP
