Free Homecoming Trip Registration Opens Today: Here Are the Steps to Register with Transport Ministry 2026
The Directorate General of Land Transport under the Ministry of Transport has opened online registration for the free homecoming trip programme beginning today, Sunday, 1 March 2026 at 08.00 WIB. Registration will close on 15 March 2026 or once daily quotas are fulfilled.
The Transport Ministry has allocated 401 buses for the free road transport homecoming programme during Eid 2026. These buses have a total capacity of 15,834 free homecoming passengers, comprising both outbound and return journeys.
“Registration will open starting 1 March 2026 online through the website nusantara.kemenhub.go.id. Registration will close once all quotas have been reached,” said Directorate General of Land Transport Aan Suhanan in a written statement in Jakarta on Wednesday, 25 February 2026.
Aan stated that this year’s free homecoming road transport programme is open to 34 destination cities across 10 provinces, including Palembang, Lampung, Bengkulu, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Garut, Tasikmalaya, Cirebon, Kuningan, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, Purwokerto, Tegal, Pekalongan, Demak, Boyolali, Klaten, Pati, Blora, Cilacap, Wonosobo, Kebumen, Magelang, Wonosari, Jepara, Sragen, Madiun, Surabaya, Tuban, Malang and Tulungagung.
For return journeys, buses depart from 12 cities across 8 provinces, including Kuningan, Madiun, Surabaya, Palembang, Padang, Medan, Aceh, Semarang, Solo, Yogyakarta, Wonogiri, and Purwokerto.
