Free drinks, everyone

JAKARTA: Legislators and visitors to the Annual Session can
get free drinks provided by several beverage companies, including
traditional herbal drink producers.

Dozens of people were seen on Thursday queuing at the booths
of two herbal medicine companies, PT Jamu Air Mancur and PT
Nyonya Meneer, to taste free honey-based drinks.

Those who were not used to jamu herbal drinks lined up in
front of the Indocafe and Maxtea stands for a cup of coffee or
iced lemon tea.

Besides providing free drinks, the companies tried
unsuccessfully to sell their products as most people preferred
their free offer. -- JP
