Free buses attract people
SURABAYA, East Java: Hundreds of people enjoyed free bus rides on Wednesday during the celebration of Indonesia's 49th Independence Day.
Bus companies allowed passengers to travel free to mark the holiday. Antara reported that despite the boom of passengers, the buses plied their routes in good order.
Most of the customers were students who were attending school ceremonies. Some 80,000 passengers reportedly showed up at the Surabaya bus terminal. (par)
