On July 30, 1994 a man visited me. He told me he was an
employee of Metropolitan Promotion Directory, whose office was in
Maya Indah building, on Jl. Kramat Raya. The company was looking
for people wanting to place advertisements in the 1994-1995
directory.

As a businessman who sells services, I was interested in his
offer of placing an advertisement in Executive magazine (Yellow
Pages). For this I paid him Rp 125,000 in cash. The employee
promised to publish my advertisement within two months -- August-
September.

But the advertisement did not appear as promised. I tried
contacting the company several times by telephone and facsimile,
but to no avail. I was told that the company closed down about
ten months ago.

I would like to warn businessmen about such fraudulent
activities.
