Frans Antony Sent Money to Fredy Pratama 168 Times, Minimum Rp 1 Billion Per Transfer

Frans Antony, who acted as the ‘treasurer’ for drug kingpin Fredy Pratama, has been arrested by the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) Narcotics Directorate in Malaysia. Frans is known to have routinely sent proceeds from drug trafficking to Fredy, totalling approximately 168 large-sum transfers.

Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crime at Bareskrim Polri, revealed that Frans sent money to Fredy 168 times over a seven-year period. The transfers occurred two to three times a month.

‘Frans Antony carried out the transportation of criminal proceeds from Indonesia to Thailand for approximately 7 years, from 2017 to 2023,’ Eko stated on Saturday (20/6/2026). ‘With a frequency of 2 to 3 times each month, the total frequency of transportation reached around 168 times during that period.’

Eko said the amount for each transfer was substantial, with a minimum value of Rp 1 billion per delivery. ‘The minimum value for each transport was 1 billion rupiah,’ Eko said.

Eko also disclosed the method used by Frans to send the money. He explained that Frans first exchanged rupiah for Singapore dollars (SGD) before sending it to Fredy in Thailand.

‘The main method used was exchanging the proceeds of narcotics crime, specifically in 1,000 Singapore dollar denominations, at various money changers across Indonesia. The money from narcotics sales was then collected and physically transported by Frans Antony,’ Eko explained.

According to Eko, this method was used by Frans to disguise the origin of the illicit funds. ‘This method became the primary loophole exploited to break up and disguise the origin of the dirty money before it was sent abroad,’ he clarified.

Frans Antony was previously detained in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday (17/6). Following the arrest, the team coordinated with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur for the administrative process of repatriation.

Frans Antony and Fredy Pratama were high school friends in South Kalimantan (Kalsel). Frans had been placed on the wanted list (DPO) for Fredy Pratama’s dark narcotics network since 2023.

Frans is now at the Bareskrim Polri building in Jakarta after being arrested and flown from Malaysia. He is undergoing further examination, while Fredy remains a fugitive.
