France donates solar generators
MAMUJU, South Sulawesi: The French government has donated two solar power generators to two transmigration sites in Mamuju district, South Sulawesi province.
The head of the provincial transmigration office, Daeng Masinara, said here yesterday that at least 300 families from each transmigration site stood to benefit from the contribution.
"Each of them can produce 100 watts of electricity. Several French and Indonesian technicians have begun installing electrical facilities in each house," he said, as quoted by Antara.
France is Indonesia's second largest bilateral donor, providing more than US$3 billion to finance 300 development projects over 25 years.
