FPN Condemns Khamenei's Assassination, Reminds Iran of Right to Resist US and Israel
The Free Palestine Network (FPN) has issued a strong condemnation of military aggression and destabilisation directed at the Islamic Republic of Iran by the United States and Israel.
The statement was delivered by FPN Secretary General Furqan AMC and FPN Expert Council Chairman Dina Y Sulaeman during a briefing in Jakarta on Sunday (1 March 2026).
“We extend our deepest condolences to the Iranian people and to all defenders of Palestine for the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader. May God accept his lifelong struggle, his steadfast leadership, and his sacrifice for the sake of truth,” FPN stated.
FPN explained that in defending Palestine, Iran continues to face threats, sanctions, and military attacks from the United States and the Zionist regime. In June 2025, Iran experienced direct military aggression for 12 consecutive days.
In late December 2025 and throughout the first weeks of January 2026, the United States and Israel undertook destabilisation efforts within Iran by arming and supporting insurgents, resulting in 3,117 deaths. Of this total, 2,447 were civilians and security personnel who became victims of violence related to the unrest, whilst the remainder were individuals involved in violent and terrorist activities.
FPN stated that from the perspective of international relations and international law, every unilateral military attack against a sovereign nation constitutes a grave violation of the United Nations Charter, particularly the prohibition on the use of force contained in Article 2(4).
