Fourteen-year-old Indonesian student identifies security vulnerability in a global platform; ITSEC Asia prepares special support
PT ITSEC Asia Tbk (ITSEC Asia) (IDX: CYBR) has emphasised the importance of accelerating cybersecurity talent development in Indonesia through direct support to Firoos Ghathfaan Ramadhan, a 14-year-old student from Subang who successfully identified a security vulnerability on a globally scaled platform.
Against a backdrop of rising cyber threats and evolving industry needs, young talents like Firoos signal Indonesia’s strong potential to compete on the global stage. However, this potential requires tangible support to develop sustainably.
As part of the Cyber Talent Indonesia Scholarship Programme, ITSEC Asia provides hardware to support Firoos’s research activities and the development of his technical abilities. This step not only recognises his achievement but also reflects the company’s commitment to fostering more outstanding cyber talent in Indonesia.
Patrick Dannacher, President Director of ITSEC Asia, said that the main challenge today lies not only in technology but in talent readiness. “We often talk about cyber threats, but rarely about talent readiness. In fact, Indonesian young talents are capable of competing globally. What we have not built seriously enough is an ecosystem that supports them to continue to grow,” he said in a written statement on Wednesday, 20 May.
The initiative also aligns with ITSEC Asia’s commitment through its subsidiary ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy to bridge the gap between industry needs and talent readiness. Through various training and development programmes, ITSEC Cyber & AI Academy helps build a stronger and more sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem in Indonesia.
On the same occasion, ITSEC Asia also introduced an AI-based solutions development initiative as part of strengthening AI-based cybersecurity capabilities developed to support more adaptive and autonomous digital defence systems. This reflects the company’s focus on building a cybersecurity ecosystem that relies not only on technology but also on talent and local capabilities.
ITSEC Asia also introduced the development of IntelliBroń Aman through Enterprise and School versions to meet digital protection needs in the business and education sectors via a more centralised and adaptive security approach. The IntelliBroń Aman solution has been downloaded more than 200,000 times and is part of the company’s commitment to developing digital security solutions relevant to Indonesia’s various sectors.
For ITSEC Asia, technology development and talent development go hand in hand in building national digital resilience. Through this approach, the company views the development of AI and cybersecurity ecosystems as a long-term investment for Indonesia’s future in the digital era.
In closing, Patrick Dannacher expressed his hopes for the future of Indonesia’s cyber talent. “We believe the future of Indonesia’s cybersecurity and AI will be determined by the young talents today. Our hope is that more generations of young people will have space to grow, innovate and contribute to national digital resilience,” he said.
