Jakarta (ANTARA) – Four years after its initial launch in Indonesia in 202<0xC2>2, the Hyundai Stargazer is beginning to offer increasingly diverse options in the used car market. The South Korean Low Multi-Purpose Vehicle (LMPV) can now be found with prices starting in the range of Rp170 million.

Based on monitoring several OLX listings, 2022-production Hyundai Stargazers with mileage around 30,000–45,000 kilometres are offered starting from Rp178 million, while other units are in the range of Rp180 million to Rp190 million. 2023 production models were even found starting from Rp167 million with mileage around 50,000–55,000 kilometres, while units with lower mileage are in the range of Rp178 million to Rp200 million.

This range differs significantly from the Stargazer’s price when it was first marketed in Indonesia, which started from Rp240 million and reached up to Rp300 million for the highest trim. With a budget of around Rp170 million–Rp190 million, consumers now have several choices from the first two years of production. Vehicle condition, mileage, and variant remain important considerations as the price difference between units is relatively small.

Technically, the Stargazer is equipped with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder Smartstream engine producing 115 PS and 144.1 Nm of torque, with most units utilising an Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT). Higher variants such as Style and Prime offer more features, including Hyundai SmartSense technology on the Prime variant and captain seat options to provide more space in the second row.

Consumers targeting early production units should still inspect the suspension, transmission, air conditioning system, and electronic components. Specifically, for Stargazer units produced between 3 January and 30 November 2022, Hyundai previously conducted a service action programme involving free fan motor replacements. The history of this programme can be verified through service records or inspections at official Hyundai workshops.

Differences in specifications between variants also require attention. The early-production Stargazer Active variant has a different rear cabin cooling configuration compared to the Trend, Style, and Prime variants; therefore, the functionality of the air conditioning up to the third row is a key aspect to check when selecting a used unit.

With prices now starting from the Rp170 million range, the used Stargazer serves as a viable alternative in the LMPV segment for consumers seeking a family vehicle aged approximately three to four years. Within the Rp180 million–Rp200 million range, options become even broader, including units with lower mileage or higher-specification variants.
