Four teenagers die in fire

SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: Four teenagers burned to death
when they failed to escape a fire that razed at least 70 houses
in Tanjung Redep district, Berau regency, East Kalimantan
province last Sunday.

The students, aged between 11 and 13 years old, were relatives
and two of them were found clutching each other, spokesman for
the local police, Lt. Col. Syarifudin Gomay, said Monday.

The fire left 570 people homeless.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fire. (swe)
