Four Suspects in Assault on Sexual Violence Suspect at Metro Police Headquarters Arrested

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Police have arrested four individuals involved in the assault on FA, a suspect in a criminal sexual violence case (TPSK), on Thursday (26/3/2026).

The Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Pol Budi Hermanto, stated that at least two people were injured as a result of the incident.

“After the event occurred, the team arrested four perpetrators,” Budi said at Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Wednesday (1/4/2026).

R was pushed by a perpetrator with the initials AT, punched and headbutted in the chest by HT, and punched in the stomach and strangled by I.

The two individuals were then taken to Pondok Indah Hospital for medical treatment.

Regarding the identities and relationships of the perpetrators with FA and R, Budi has not provided further details.

He only mentioned that the clash was allegedly triggered by FA’s statement denying his actions.

“Please give me time, I need to confirm the relationship first,” Budi said.

Although FA was the victim of the assault, Budi emphasised that the legal process related to the TPSK case involving him continues.

“We must remain objective about the incident and the case faced by the individual. Do not hinder the investigation process,” Budi stated.

In the latest development, investigators have handed over the case file to the Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.

However, the file was returned for completion, including presenting both parties in confrontation examinations.

Despite being on the wanted list (DPO) for nearly a year, the suspect has not yet been detained.
