Four Season expands spa
JAKARTA (JP): Increased luxury hotel rivalry on the holiday island of Bali has compelled the Four Seasons Resort Bali, located above the Jimbaran bay, to spend $US1.3 million to expand its spa.
The Four Seasons Resort Jimbaran has assigned Australian architects Grounds Kent Architects to design the new 1,000 square-meter spa which will focus on indigenous traditions and rituals and nature.
"We have seen a 43-percent rise in guest usage of the spa since opening four years ago," said hotel general manager Neil Jacobs.
The 147-villa Four Seasons Resort Jimbaran won awards last October for being the 15th best hotel in the world, and fourth best hotel in the world, by the United States' Travel & Leisure magazine.
The Canada-based Four Seasons-Regent Hotels and Resorts, runs 37 hotels in 16 nations, will open in August the Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan near the sacred Ayung river. (icn)
